What happens if I exceed the limits of my plan?
Use it as you require. Just please don’t melt the servers
Whilst your plan is unlimited. We do have a fair use policy in place to ensure people aren't 'overusing', so to speak.
What is Jugo's fair use policy?
We want Jugo to be fast, reliable, and enjoyable for everyone. Most customers use Jugo in a totally normal way - this policy exists for the tiny number of situations where usage gets so heavy (or so weird) that it impacts the platform for others.
In short: use Jugo like a human, not like a data centre.
What “fair use” means
Your plan includes generous usage designed for normal business use. “Fair use” means you can use Jugo as intended, at a scale that makes sense for your plan, without:
-
Putting unusual strain on the platform
-
Attempting to bypass plan limits
-
Using Jugo in ways that look like automation abuse, scraping, or reselling
-
Causing performance or reliability issues for other customers
If your plan says “unlimited”, it’s unlimited for normal use, not unlimited for extreme or abusive patterns.
Examples of usage that may be considered unfair
1) Excessive or abnormal usage
-
Extremely high volumes of activity compared to typical customers on the same plan
-
Repeated heavy usage that consistently affects system performance
-
Large spikes of usage that look automated or unintended
2) Trying to get around plan limits
-
Sharing accounts across organisations or teams that should have their own plan
-
Using workarounds to exceed limits (for example, duplicate workspaces or identities)
3) Automation, scraping, or “bot” behaviour
-
Scripted activity that hits the platform in bursts or at high frequency
-
Scraping content or data in bulk
-
Using Jugo to generate or trigger spammy behaviour (invites, messages, emails, etc.)
4) Reselling or providing Jugo as a service
-
Using your account to resell access to Jugo
-
“White-label” style usage without a written agreement
How we monitor and manage fair use
We monitor platform usage to keep things stable and secure. This may include automated checks for:
-
Unusually high usage
-
Sudden spikes
-
Repeated failed requests
-
Patterns associated with bots or account sharing
We’re not here to micromanage normal usage - this is mainly about keeping the platform healthy.
What happens if you exceed fair use
We’ll always aim to keep this simple and drama-free. Depending on what’s happening, we may:
-
Let you know you’re approaching unusual usage levels
-
Suggest an upgrade or add-on if your usage is legitimate and you simply need more capacity
-
Apply temporary limits (like throttling) to protect performance
-
Pause specific features until usage returns to normal
-
Suspend access in serious cases (for example, abuse, ToS violations, or repeated attempts to bypass limits)
If the issue is caused by something accidental (a runaway integration, repeated retries, etc.), we’ll help you get back on track.
If you think you’ve been flagged by mistake
It happens. If you believe your usage is legitimate, contact us with:
-
Your workspace/account name
-
What you were doing when the issue occurred
-
Approximate timing (and any error messages)
We’ll review and help you find the best option (adjustments, upgrade, or a custom plan if needed).
We may update this policy
We may update this Fair Use Policy occasionally to reflect changes in how Jugo works or to protect the platform. If we make significant changes, we’ll post an updated version in our Knowledge Base.
